Role Overview
To support our rapid growth, we seek an energetic, driven, forward-thinking and experienced Senior Consultant to join Chartis our High Reliability Care (HRC) practice, aligned to our Clinical Transformation line of business.
The Senior Consultant is responsible for the delivery of a variety of complex/medium complexity assignments in the areas of Accreditation/Regulatory Compliance, Quality, Patient Safety and Clinical Documentation Improvement. As a member of the Chartis team, the Senior Consultant plays an integral role in contributing to the successful execution of client engagements and building the firm's reputation for quality service.
Responsibilities
Engagement Management
lAs applicable, coordinate, direct and oversee multi-faceted project work done by Chartis Consultants and/or subcontractors.
lCoordinate fieldwork for engagements by developing project plans, task schedules, scheduling and preparing for on-site assessments, interviews and facilitated sessions, gathering documentation, preparing reports, presenting findings and recommendations, and liaising with client staff.
lPerform engagement procedures designed to identify and define issues, review and analyze evidence, and document business processes. Prepare deliverables to support results of procedures.
lConduct interviews with client management to gain an understanding of client business conditions, risks and controls (including preparation of interview notes.)
lIdentify, develop, and document issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed.
lAssist in coordinating and communicating the results of consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management.
lEnsure all deliverables are reviewed with the engagement lead/advisory consultant.
lProvide input to the project team during all phases of an engagement.
lParticipate in the drafting of reports/presentations and presenting drafts to the engagement lead/advisory consultant for review and approval.
Quality Management
lEnsures the firm’s high expectations for quality in all assigned projects and deliverables.
lContributes to the development of project management, quality assurance and professional consulting approaches/methodologies.
Business/Professional Development
lContributes to proposal submissions and business development initiatives under the direction of the Leadership team.
lParticipates in professional organizations, professional certification programs and professional networking events related to Chartis’ practice areas.
Thought Leadership
lIdentify and make recommendations to improve consulting methodologies, tools, work processes and work products as applicable.
lContribute to marketing efforts with blog posts, webinars, white papers and case studies.
Qualifications and Desired Skills
lBachelors Degree required in Nursing, Informatics, Health Management/Sciences
lCPHQ and/or CIC certification preferred
lKnowledge of Accrediting Agency and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Conditions of Participation
l5+ years of experience delivering healthcare consulting in a professional services firm
l5+ years of demonstrated experience working in a hospital/health system in a Quality, Nursing, or Patient Safety
lDemonstrated professionalism and team-oriented approach
lDemonstrated analytical, problem solving and risk management skills
lMotivated, adaptable, and creative
lExperience writing professional business reports
lExperience writing proposals for consulting/professional services
lAbility to develop presentations and assume speaker responsibilities (small and large presentations, webinars, seminars, etc.)
lAbility to identify client organizational capabilities
lAbility to prioritize client patient safety/organizational vulnerabilities with understanding of core/systemic issues
lAbility to review and integrate multiple reports
lAbility to work collaboratively under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
lAbility to lead a team, manage schedules and match team member skills to client needs
lStrong group facilitation, verbal, and written communication skills
lAbility and confidence to persuade others and sell your ideas and services
