This is an opportunity to be part of Bain’s Energy & Natural Resources (ENR) team, based in Belgium, and contribute to one of Bain’s most critical and high-growth industries.
The ENR practice plays a pivotal role in driving strategic impact for our clients, supported by a global network of expertise and a strong presence in markets such as the Benelux, France, Germany, and beyond.
As part of Bain’s Brussels ENR team, you will work on case delivery, client development, and proposal support for leading organizations in sectors such as oil and gas, power and utilities, chemicals, renewables, and wastewater recycling.
You will also contribute to solving strategic questions for Bain’s ENR clients, focusing on areas like sustainability, performance improvement, digital transformation, and growth strategies.
In Belgium, ENR is a priority growth pillar, with a track record of 20% annual growth since 2013 and high-profile clients driving industrial innovation and sustainability agendas.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Bain consultant in ENR, your analytical, interpersonal, creative thinking, business management, and leadership skills will be called upon from day one.
You will be in the thick of the action as you work side-by-side with some of the best in the business. And you will help create change.
Every day is different, but a sample of the things you can expect to accomplish includes:
- Researching the client organization and industry; conducting interviews, focus groups, and workshops with client employees, management teams, and other stakeholders.
- Identifying issues, creating hypotheses, and executing analyses; translating data into meaningful insights and presenting recommendations to key decision-makers.
- Moving the client to action; developing a plan to implement the strategic recommendations and managing the execution.
- Mentoring junior team members.

ABOUT YOU

- Academic background in Engineering, Business Economics, or Chemical fields is valued.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industry or in consulting is mandatory.
- A solid team player who is also an independent thinker.
- A robust analytical skillset, endless curiosity, and a penchant for thinking the impossible.
- Deadline-driven, organized, and able to multitask.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills are important.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; French and/or Dutch are encouraged but not required.
