Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to serve as Project Manager and oversee government-funded scientific development programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with clients to managing complex projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The individual will be expected to support new business efforts as required for both internal and external clients.
Responsibilities:
Provide senior level consulting services for clients including, but not limited to:
- Lead the management of day-to-day aspects of a US Government funded project, including planning for and/or facilitating regular meetings, recording meeting minutes, and reporting to both internal and external customers.
- Lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all internal, direct client and USG required project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for USG clients, maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients to provide project updates, address concerns, and gather feedback.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality work and exceeding expectations.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
- Provide expert advice and solutions based on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and report on project performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
- Mentor and guide junior consultants and team members, fostering professional growth and development.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
- Adhere to LBG quality standards regarding client deliverables.
- Other duties as assigned
Identify and sell new engagements for Company:
- Support the identification and selling of commercial, government, and non-profit funded engagements.
- Support the drafting and editing of proposals and engagement documents, including serving as the Project Manager for the preparation of proposals.
- Support the management of existing and potential client relationships.
- Support the planning, tracking and follow-up on sales and marketing activities in pursuit of engagement opportunities.
Create Company Intellectual Property:
- Support the creation of internal tools, systems, methods and materials that help the Company perform more efficiently and with higher quality results.
- Support the creation and delivery of publications and presentations that support and build on the Company’s reputation and recognition in its target markets
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7-10 years of project management experience in a government-funded environment.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with government regulations and compliance requirements.
- Fluency in MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- PMP preferred.
- Ability to manage workload and perform on multiple projects concurrently.
- Knowledge of the biotechnology product development process.

Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and market location.
