About the job:
We are seeking interns to join our consulting team for a minimum of 10 weeks, commencing May 2025. This internship requires a commitment of 40 hours per week and offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement. Our comprehensive internship program provides students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in the current financial services domain, working under the guidance of experienced professionals with extensive backgrounds in banking.
As part of our team, you will collaborate with a group of seasoned consultants of varying seniority levels, receiving mentorship and support to ensure your professional growth within the consulting industry. As an intern, you will work closely with various subject matter experts, assisting them in the creation of consulting slides focused on Regulatory and Artificial Intelligence (AI) topics. Your responsibilities will include contributing to research analysis, developing marketable assets, and creating project plans for potential clients.
In addition to gaining hands-on experience, you will also have access to our exclusive Synpulse Academy program, which includes modules from the Synpulse New Employee School (NES). This program is designed to support your learning and development throughout the internship, ensuring you are well-equipped to succeed in your role and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research how banks and central banks in APAC are leveraging AI to combat financial crime and identify key takeaway.
- Conduct a market scan to identify AI-powered financial crime prevention products, assess their features and functionalities, and provide a comparative review.
- Outline a step-by-step approach for implementing AI-driven risk management solutions in banking.
- Support leadership in business development efforts, including proposal creation, development of thought leadership articles, and other marketing initiatives, where applicable.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with team members and expand network within Synpulse.
- Be a key member of an entrepreneurial team by playing a vital part in a forward-thinking team, embracing challenges, sharing feedback, and seeking guidance to accelerate your growth and expertise in the banking sector.
About you:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program (preferably 3rd or 4th year).
- Previous internship experience in Banking or Consulting is desirable, but not essential.
- Willingness to learn and collaborate with various teams within Synpulse.
- Ability to rapidly comprehend complex situations, lead analysis processes, and think critically.
- Highly analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and spoken) in English.
- Commitment to a minimum 10-week internship starting May 2025.
