Title: Senior Consultant - Program Manager

Slalom Seattle is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant with strong expertise in Program and Project management with experience delivering complex projects. Our Program & Project Managers work across multiple disciplines and industries and must be able to understand our clients’ businesses and build credibility quickly. Successful candidates are adaptable self-starters who have the proven ability to create structure in ambiguous environments, offer holistic solutions to challenges, and possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills with audiences of all levels.
What You’ll Do
- Understand the client’s business challenges to deliver effective solutions that address the people, process, technology, and data needs of our clients to achieve their desired outcomes.
- Plan and lead the execution of all aspects of a program and/or project; Manage scope, requirements, resources, time, cost, quality, risks, and communications in various project delivery methodologies.
- Proactively identify risks and anticipated points of resistance; develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns.
- Maintain client relationships and keep clients and stakeholders engaged and informed on the project or program (ie: status reporting, issues management, and risk management).
- Become a trusted advisor to the client, develop a deep understanding of their organization, identify potential impacts and tailor an approach, plan and deliverables accordingly.
- Work on projects, small or large-scale programs independently, participate as a team member, or lead teams of consultants and/or clients to successful project delivery.
- Encourage and enable cross-collaboration across an organization’s teams to ensure on-time delivery of key deliverables and outcomes.
- Work in varied disciplines across industries to gain client knowledge and credibility quickly (projects vary in length, lasting anywhere from a few weeks to more than a year).
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of prior management consulting experience in a project-based or program-based client-facing environment; ideally across various industries and project types.
- Prior experience managing complex programs or projects (on time, in budget, on schedule, etc.) such as technology implementations using Agile delivery tools and methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, SDLC, etc.)
- Familiarity with technology solutions (across AI, data, platforms) and ability to identify and understand interconnectedness, ensuring seamless integration and alignment to drive value.
- Foundational knowledge and understanding of other capabilities needed to launch successful programs or projects in technology and data such as data management, change management and process mapping.
- Experience driving outcomes to sometimes complex solutions, monitoring, measuring success, and adapting to evolving client priorities. Strong logical, analytical problem-solving skills with a rigorous approach to managing enterprise-level projects.
- Demonstrated experience in all phases of a program or project lifecycle including the identification of the business problem, business case, and project plan development from kickoff through closeout.
- Collaborative team player that can foster collaboration and accountability to create high-performing teams, with a growth mindset in challenging circumstances.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with audiences of all levels including extensive presentation development and delivery; has contributed to executive-level communications.
- Highly competent with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to quickly learn new tools, platforms, and technologies such as data analysis and visualization tools, cloud platforms and solutions, customer relationship management systems, emerging technology tools (ex. GenAI), and project management tools.
- Ability and commitment to be onsite at the client or Slalom office 2-5 days per week.

Compensation And Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For the Consultant position, the base salary pay range is $105,000 to $162,000 and the targeted base salary range is $105,000 to $120,000. For the Senior Consultant position, the base salary pay range is $120,000 to $186,000 and the targeted base salary range is $120,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
