The Role
Our banking and financial services group is looking for a Consulting Manager to join our journey. We’re looking for someone who understands how to deliver impactful solutions within the Transportation and Logistics industry.
We’re looking for Consulting Manager who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Consultant, this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders, and colleagues. Responsibilities
- Based on experience, support or own and manage one or more project workstream(s), including deliverables, while adhering to budget, timelines, and client engagement guidelines;
- Partner with clients and project stakeholders and apply technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; this may include leading and managing small solutioning teams to accomplish the above
- Work with clients to establish clear connections between business goals and strategies to capability development and implementation to achieving desired business value.
- Define product / platform strategies and solutions focused on Transportation Planning and execution, including logistics planning, route optimization and fleet management.
- Understand scope and define business requirements along with client business stakeholders
- Map business processes to identify improvement/transformation opportunities
- End to end requirement management of products from product / platform vision to deliverable stories
- Prepare functional use cases / detailed user stories
- Validate UX / UI for every feature / function
- Conduct stories / functionality demo to client product management teams (internal/external)
- Review test plans prepared by QA Team
- Support UAT
- Assist in resolving scope, requirements, and other technical related queries
- Manage change requests / enhancements / features
- Defect analysis, testing and demo to client
- Expertise in working with multi geography development team to deliver production ready product with incremental value
- Advanced problem resolution skills and communication abilities
- Create and maintain long-term working relationships with technology teams, functional counterparts, vendors, and business partners
- Support the development of long-term logistics plans to align with the companys strategic goals.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and systems to enhance overall efficiency.
Qualifications
- 9+ years working in technology, consulting, professional services, or solution development within the transportation and logistics services industry
- Must have extensive experience in transportation and logistics with a deep understanding of industry best practices.
- Should possess strong analytical skills to evaluate and optimize logistics operations.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Should be proficient in using data analytics tools to drive decision-making.
- Must have a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions in the transportation and logistics domain.
- Should be able to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work model.
- Must have strong problem-solving skills to address complex logistics challenges.
- Should be detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Must be committed to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and technologies.
- Should have experience in training and mentoring junior team members.
- Must be able to prepare and deliver detailed reports and presentations to senior management.
- Should have a strong understanding of regulatory compliance in the transportation and logistics industry.
- Onsite Requirements: 3 days onsite at client location in Atlanta, GA
