The Financial Analyst will support the day-to-day financial operations of the beverage business, with a strong focus on P&L management, commercial analytics, and monthly book closing. This role acts as a key finance support to the commercial teams, helping drive performance through data-driven insights and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
1. P&L Monitoring and Financial Reporting
- Support daily and monthly tracking of the P&L with emphasis on sales, gross margin, and overheads.
- Analyze actual vs. forecast/budget performance, investigate variances, and flag key drivers to the Senior Finance Manager.
- Assist in preparing monthly business review decks and performance summaries.
2. Commercial Finance & Business Partnering
- Work closely with Sales and Trade Marketing to evaluate pricing, trade investment, and promotion plans.
- Assist in customer/channel profitability analysis and support decisions on pricing, discounts, and customer investments.
- Track and validate commercial KPIs (e.g., volume performance, NSR per case, ROI on activations).
3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning Support
- Support the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes by consolidating inputs from commercial, supply chain, and marketing functions.
- Maintain planning files, assumptions, and variance bridges across scenarios.
4. Month-End Close & Control Support
- Collaborate with the central Finance team to ensure accurate and timely month-end closing.
- Ensure all commercial accruals (trade spend, marketing, etc.) are properly captured and validated.
- Review and reconcile key P&L and balance sheet accounts relevant to the commercial function.
5. Data Management & Tools
- Maintain financial models and dashboards to track daily and monthly business performance.
- Leverage Excel, Power BI or similar tools to enhance data visibility and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an FMCG environment with exposure to commercial finance or FP&A roles.
- Familiarity with Gulf market operations is a plus.
- Proficient in Excel; working knowledge of PowerPoint, Microsoft Dynamics is preferred
