We are looking for a detail-oriented, highly motivated, and curious individual to join our Indirect Sourcing team as a Sourcing Analyst. This role will be heavy in data and reporting on a day-to-day level and will support projects and end-customers across diverse requests. More than just pulling and reporting data, this role will also be asked to think critically to ascertain data insights and lead process improvement initiatives. This would be an excellent opportunity for someone with procurement experience or finance experience with exposure to procurement processes and interested in furthering their career in procurement and sourcing. The Indirect Sourcing team is evolving rapidly, and this role has tremendous potential to be very impactful on that journey. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE:
- Support e-Procurement systems (GEP, Fieldglass, SAP) including vendor and purchase requisitions support
- Support indirect spend categories and sourcing operations by:
o Extracting large data sets from various sources
o Transforming and combining large data sets
o Creating quick tactical ah-hoc reports for stakeholders
o Creating robust, visually appealing Microsoft Excel dashboards
o Understanding and clearly communicating data patterns, insights, and opportunities to non-data oriented peers to support decision-making
- Refreshing and improving existing Microsoft Excel based dashboards using advanced Excel based functions and Power Query
- Develop and deliver engaging presentation and dynamic reports on key projects or data insights
- Fielding and answering questions from stakeholders
- Supporting, and occasionally leading, one-time project-based assignments
- Collaborating with cross functional teams to understand requirements, providing strategic recommendations and ensuring alignment on sourcing strategies
- Support on strategic sourcing events in accordance with Patterson's sourcing methodology including development of RFx documentation and other related procurement activities
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of vendor scorecards, cost modeling, KPI measurements
- Support in procurement policy and process compliance
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 – 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement or a related role such as a buyer or sourcing analyst
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (dashboarding, pivot tables, advanced excel formulas)
- Experience with eProcurement tools
- Strong communication skills
- Analytical and curious mindset with attention to detail
- Able to execute under time sensitive deadlines and work effectively in a dynamic environment even during ambiguity
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Fieldglass or GEP
- Experience with SAP
- Advance Excel skills (Macros and Power Query)
