The Position
As an Analyst in A&M’s Disputes and Investigations Team, the successful candidate will:
- Analyze multiple sources of information such as media records, corporate records specific database information; and financial records to assess potential risks associated with a project
- Conduct research using a variety of online sources, especially commercial registries and corporate databases, legal databases and media sources
- Be responsible for Analyst / Associate level-appropriate project management
- Be responsible for writing complex reports that are thorough, accurate and clear
- Assist senior members of the team with project setup, research and analysis
- Support in the preparation of pitch documents, presentations, and engagement proposals etc.
The Requirements
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree (in management, journalism, finance, international relations, political science, economics, history, intelligence and / or law). Master’s degree in similar field preferred for
- 1-3 years of professional experience in research or consulting domain
- Strong analytical ability and lateral thinking acumen with proven ability for conducting thorough public record research
- An eye for detail and strong report writing skills that reflect a clear thought process and communicate an accurate message
- Experience with long form report writing through coursework (essays) and / or dissertation writing experience
- Internship experience in research fields, including equity research, think tanks, advocacy or other commercial research environments that involve research and report writing
- Strong PowerPoint and Word skills
- Effective communication skills required – written and oral ability to communicate research topics, and more complex concepts in discussion with case managers
- Effective interpersonal skills - good team player with the ability to work under pressure
- Highly motivated and able to work with limited oversight in a sometimes fast paced and demanding environment
- Fluent in English
