The Role
Our Media & Entertainment group is looking for a Business Analyst to join our journey.
We’re looking for Business Analysts who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Business Analyst, this means creating high-quality client deliverables and taking ownership (with supervision) of producing client content and meeting client expectations; developing an expertise in your functional area, including obtaining certifications; contributing to Client Satisfaction and/or RFPs; supporting leadership and contributing to content development for service offerings; and participating in PeopleCare initiatives and exhibiting personal leadership at all times. Responsibilities
- Exercise responsibility for one or more components of a consulting engagement for a client
- Support or drive data-driven identification and analysis of solution requirement
- Documenting and maintaining new Project specs and accurate Acceptance criteria in JIRA and in a formal documentation
- Tracking the Sprint in JRA
- Provide Application support
- Document business requirements and translate them to technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, data discovery, and data analysis.
- Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics.
- Work with data and project management teams to determine feasibility and design, validate data, and ensure successful deliverables to stakeholders.
- Test business processes and recommend improvements.
- Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to help stakeholders understand business performance.
- Identify automation opportunities.
- WBD Project Manager will be reasonably available and provide Vendor resource with necessary guidance and goals;
- Vendor personnel will perform services remotely for the duration of the project
- WB will make available necessary SMEs for participation in meetings, workshops, Deliverable reviews and Deliverable sign-off.
- Adjust Design proposal and Acceptance Criteria based on feedback and per discussions with business
- Memorialize design in Functional Design specifications and create Test scripts per the spec and acceptance criteria
- Coordinating with the vendors and users for details on the projects
- Identify and escalate scope changes, issues, and risks
- Develop a profound understanding of the Cognizant way, productive project collaboration skills and practice deliverables, collegial support and information-sharing practices, and exquisite client sensibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years of related work experience
- Experience in technology consulting, professional services, or solution development projects within the media & entertainment industry
- Previous work experience within an Agile or similarly organized environment
- Experience with a range of business process modeling and improvement, quality assurance, software development life cycle (SDLC), and agile project management (JIRA) tools
- Documentation Experience
- Writing business requirements, test scripts, and use cases. 5+Years
- JIRA Expertise
- Breaking down user stories, analyzing usability, etc.
- QA/Testing
- Identifying test scenarios, testing newly developed tooling, etc.
