The opportunity

As a Senior Manager in our Technology practice, you will play a pivotal role in interacting with business stakeholders to evaluate and analyze business models, processes, and operations. You will translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure that newly implemented technology solutions meet these requirements. Your collaboration with technical teams will be crucial in designing and delivering effective system architecture solutions.
Your key responsibilities
In this role, you will manage and deliver complex processes and solutions while maintaining a strong focus on quality and risk management. You will face challenges that require innovative problem-solving and analytical skills, allowing you to grow your expertise in technology analysis and implementation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading large-scale SAP client engagements or work streams. Supervising the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Order-to-Cash (OTC) solutions, including Sales Order Management, ATP, Shipping, Credit Management, Pricing, Billing and more.
- Overseeing program/project management and ensuring engagement economics are met.
- Developing resource plans and budgets for complex engagements.
- Demonstrating in-depth technical capabilities and possess strong business acumen in Order-to-Cash domain and its integrated domains such as other sub-domains within Supply Chain (Planning, Manufacturing, Transportation Management, Extended Warehouse Management), Finance and Procurement. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business such as S/4HANA with Rise, BTP clean core implementing concept and SAP AI business scenarios, and demonstrate ability assimilate to new knowledge.
- Understanding the impact of master data and hierarchies on the Order-to-Cash process and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver holistic solutions.
- Consistently delivering quality client services. Monitoring progress, managing risk and making sure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
- Leading client workshops, meetings to collect and understand user stories. Establishing relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels.
- Leading and inspiring diverse teams by providing constructive feedback and coaching, fostering an innovative and inclusive work environment, and actively counseling and mentoring junior consultants.
- Generating new business opportunities. Understanding EY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients. Developing and maintaining long-term client relationships and networks. Developing relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs.
- Encouraging and supporting the professional development of team members through training, workshops, and career advancement opportunities.
Skills and attributes for success
To thrive in this role, you will need a blend of technical and interpersonal skills that will allow you to build strong relationships and deliver exceptional results.
On your typical engagement, you will work with the key stakeholders to understand their needs and advise on SAP system capabilities. You will initiate the requirement gathering, architect solutions, blueprinting, testing, and complete the workflow and documentation, as well as the functional design of the solution. Liaise with the stakeholders and technical team to translate needs into business solutions and complete the configurations and/or integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems.
Key skills include:
- Strong technical skills in application functional design and technology business requirements definition.
- Proven ability to analyze and map technology cost-benefit scenarios.
- Expertise in system configuration design and business architecture frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A Bachelor’s degree; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Typically, 5 - 7 years of relevant experience.
- At least eight years of experience working within SAP Order-to-Cash; deep functional and technical experience in Sales and Distribution (SD) modules in SAP S/4HANA and/or ECC, with the ability to design, solution, configure, implement, and document complex WRICEF objects.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills.
- Proven ability to lead client relationships and internal teams, with strong project management expertise (e.g., SAP Activate Methodology) and a successful track record in delivering SAP projects and managing project-based teams.
- Knowledge of leading practices, benchmarking, peer company environments and prior consulting experience relevant to industry-specific finance and technology functions.
- Skills in training design and delivery.
- Ability and comfort-level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies.
- A flexibility and willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 40-60%.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience in leading teams and managing change effectively.
- Prior consulting industry experience.
- SAP certification(s).
- A knack for building and managing client relationships.

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $169,900 to $388,200. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $203,900 to $441,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
