We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical QA Consultant Analyst to join our team. This role will focus on ensuring the quality and integrity of web applications, data reports, and data warehouse systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of QA methodologies, data validation, and web technologies, and will work closely with developers, data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
Testing Management and Coordination:
- Maintain master test plans.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams - developers, analysts, pilot users, and business stakeholders to align testing efforts.
- Oversee the execution of functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for web applications, data pipelines, and reporting systems.
- Identify, document, and track defects or inconsistencies found during testing, and collaborate with development teams to resolve them promptly.
- Track and report testing progress, issues, and outcomes to project managers and the leadership team.
Website Testing:
- Review requirements and technical specifications to create comprehensive test plans and test cases for .NET-based web applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing across multiple systems.
- Test front-end functionality of web applications for usability, performance, and security.
- Validate back-end functionality, data inputs/outputs, and UI elements for usability and consistency.
Reporting Validation:
- Validate data accuracy and completeness in business intelligence (BI) dashboards and static/dynamic reports in Power BI
- Ensure calculations, KPIs, and filters in reports match source data specifications.
- Test data refresh processes, report rendering, and scheduled report generation.
- Data Warehouse Testing:
- Perform data validation and reconciliation between source systems/files, staging, and data warehouse layers.
- Verify ETL processes, data transformations, and data integrity.
Who You Are:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in QA, preferably with web, reporting, and data environments.
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and analysis.
- Experience testing ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Familiarity with testing tools such Postman.
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) for validating reports.
- Understanding of Agile/Kanban methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
