The Team
A&M’s Restructuring & Turnaround practice is the world’s largest and market-leading team in this field. The Amsterdam-based team works closely with companies, investors, and creditors across Benelux and Europe, providing innovative solutions to complex financial and operational challenges. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact, multi-stakeholder, and cross-border restructuring engagements, contributing to meaningful outcomes for clients.
How you will contribute
- Advise and implement alongside clients’ executives, investors, and stakeholders in distressed situations.
- Work with the team to offer critical support to companies that are under-performing or experiencing a full-blown liquidity crisis.
- Assist company management & help to stabilize financial and operational performance.
- Develop the skills to ascertain & understand a client’s rapidly changing situation and to enable creative and innovative solutions/options for the businesses and its stakeholders.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments of key issues, business outlooks, and liquidity forecasting.
- Develop and implement restructuring plans, integrated financial models, and short-term cash flow forecasting tools.
- Evaluate business plans and financial projections, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders in the Netherlands and the European restructuring community.
- Support business development activities, including creating client pitches and proposals.

Qualifications
- Strong academic background with experience in a Restructuring team at a leading consultancy firm or Big Four.
- Proven ability to lead work streams in restructuring projects within client engagements.
- Strong financial analysis skills and advanced experience in financial modelling (e.g., 13-week cash flow forecasts, 3-statement financial models).
- Native or fluent Dutch & English is essential. Additional European languages are advantageous
