Our Infrastructure & Capital Projects Practice
A&M’s Global Infrastructure & Capital Projects (ICP) practice, comprising over 1,000 specialised consultants worldwide, is rapidly expanding in Australia to meet growing demand across Energy, Transport, Mining & Metals, Utilities and Social Infrastructure.
We combine strategic and operational expertise with deep technical knowledge to support developers, sponsors, lenders, and operators to deliver value across the end-to-end infrastructure life cycle, including:
- Capital Strategy, Capital Efficiency & Portfolio Value Creation
- Deal Advisory & Due Diligence
- Project Development & Business Case
- Procurement Advisory
- Project Delivery & Construction Advisory (including Disputes)
- Transition to Operations
- Asset Management & Optimisation
- We are looking for Senior Associate’s & Managers to join a high performing Advisory team with locations being in Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of capital strategy solutions, ensuring alignment with client objectives and industry trends.
- Assist in preparing business cases, financial models, valuations and market analyses to support investment decisions and optimise capital allocation.
- Support and, at Manager level, lead elements of due diligence on transactions, assessing technical, commercial and regulatory aspects of operating and development projects.
- Work with clients across existing and emerging asset classes including renewables, battery energy storage, and critical minerals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional A&M teams (engineering, financial, regulatory) to deliver integrated project solutions.
- Prepare proposals, pitches and thought leadership to support business development.
- At Manager level, oversee day-to-day engagement delivery, including managing small teams (local and offshore) and interfacing directly with clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor/master's degree in engineering or related field, with supplementary qualification in business, economics and commerce. MBA qualifications would be highly regarded
- 4-10 years of experience in management consulting, infrastructure advisory, or industry roles within asset-intensive sectors.
- Strong technical understanding of capital project concepts (studies, revenue, capex, opex, regulatory).
- Experience in energy, mining, renewables, or large-scale infrastructure projects preferred.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with data analytics tools (Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau) advantageous.
- Excellent problem solving, numerical and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Self-starters who thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
- Willingness to travel as required.
