The Team
Alvarez and Marsal in Central Asia is rapidly expanding and seeking experienced Associate / Senior Associate finance professionals to join our FS practice and contribute to its growth. Our FS practice provides consulting services to banks, fintech companies, insurance firms, microfinance institutions, and payment services across Turkey, Central Asia, the Caucasus and Pakistan. We focus on areas such as strategy and digital transformation, corporate venture and M&A, fintech solutions and product development, customer service and CRM, ALM and risk management. Our projects require structure, clear agreements, and a hands-on approach.
How you will contribute
- Manage workstreams: work plans, timelines, responsibilities, and task lists; ensure everything stays on track.
- Coordinate the team and client participants: prepare meetings, document agreements, and follow up on tasks.
- Prepare clear materials: calculation tables, presentations, and memos for client leadership.
- Negotiate priorities and help remove obstacles to ensure solutions are implemented.
- Support launches and pilots: gather feedback, measure impact, and help scale successful solutions.
- Engage with the project’s subject matter: retail products, business services, basic treasury tasks, and funding issues — alongside the practice leader.
Qualifications
- Organize work and keep the team focused on priorities; maintain accurate plans and status updates.
- Communicate clearly and calmly, write concise emails and meeting notes, and negotiate with various stakeholders.
- Work with numbers: verify calculations, analyze product economics, and assess sensitivity metrics.
- Create visually clear presentations and documents that are easy for leadership to understand.
- Quickly learn new topics and confidently ask questions when needed.
- Independently manage 2–3 workstreams simultaneously and keep everyone informed of progress.
- Personally prepare key documents and ensure the quality of team materials.
- Proactively identify risks and propose clear plans to address them.
- Willingness to travel within the region; working languages are Russian and English
Experience
- 4+ years in the financial sector — in a bank, insurance company, fintech, investment firm — or consulting for such clients.
- Proven experience managing workstreams and coordinating teams: from planning to implementation.
- Participation in product launches or process improvements (sales, servicing, lending, settlements, reporting).
