About the job:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven graduate to join our Management Information function team and support the build and rollout of automated reporting using the Power BI (PBI) service. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with function leads, learn how to identify and expose key performance indicators (KPIs), and contribute to driving PBI adoption and delivering valuable insights to end-users. You will work closely with our internal data team to assist in identifying and transforming data, contributing to the development of data models, and helping to create clear and insightful dashboards for various functions. This role offers a great opportunity to work with unique and innovative tools with strong emphasis on one’s ability to learn and shape the role.
Your Tasks:
- Assist in translating business needs into the technical specifications required for creating reporting components from multiple data sources.
- Support the design, build, and deployment of BI solutions and reports for internal customers.
- Help maintain and support the data analytics platform, including contributing to unit testing and troubleshooting.
- Participate in the evaluation and continuous improvement of existing BI systems and reporting.
- Collaborate with various teams across the organisation to understand data integration needs.
- Develop and execute basic database queries and assist with regular and ad-hoc data analyses.
- Create visualizations and reports for requested projects under guidance.
About you:
Requirements:
- Relevant Academic Background: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or another related technical field is required.
- Foundational Knowledge: Experience gained through academic projects, internships, or personal study in Power BI report building.
- English Proficiency: B2 English proficiency (speaking & writing).
Your Skills:
- Understanding of BI Tools: Basic familiarity with BI Technologies, particularly Microsoft Power BI (or similar tools like QlickSense).
- Data Concepts: Basic understanding of data modelling, data shaping, and how to use data for reporting.
- Query Language: Introductory knowledge of SQL for database querying.
- Programming/Analytical Skills: Foundational knowledge of DAX, M (Power Query Formula Language), or similar analytical languages is beneficial.
- Tools: Advanced Excel Skills.
- Communication: Confident communication skills with an eagerness to work with stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience (e.g., internship) within the Accountancy & Finance sector.
- Familiarity with working in an agile environment (Scrum).
- Understanding of data structures.
- Knowledge of Data Flow and Power Apps is beneficial.
- Experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.
