The Team
A&M is rapidly expanding its Restructuring presence across our national team in Australia and we’re looking for a Manager, Associate Director and Director to join us in Sydney.
You’ll get to work on some of the country’s (and sometimes the world’s) most interesting, complex, and high-profile advisory, restructuring and insolvency engagements!
We’re a close-knit team, offering fantastic leadership, mentorship, and collaboration. You’ll be part of a team that’s not only scaling but also actively building and extending our local presence, with the backing of A&M’s global reach and financial strength.
How You Will Contribute
Our team is targeting larger-scale, formal and informal restructuring work with major clients across a range of industries. You’ll be exposed to trading engagements, voluntary administrations, receivership and restructuring advisory, contributing to impactful mandates that shape outcomes for businesses in transition.
Leveraging your experience in Restructuring your responsibilities will include -
- Conducting cash flow reviews and preparing financial models to support turnaround strategies.
- Develop and implement restructuring and turnaround plans, including cost reduction and liquidity management programs.
- Advise on debt restructuring, refinancing, and capital structure optimisation.
- Liaise with boards, creditors, investors, and management to negotiate and implement restructuring solutions.
- Mentor junior team members and lead segments of complex engagements.
- Managing multiple workstreams and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
To be successful and enjoy fulfilment in this role, you’ll ideally bring with you the following –
- Proven Informal restructuring and turnaround experience and/or formal insolvency experience, ideally from a Big 4 or leading professional services environment.
- Excellent knowledge of debt restructuring, capital structure optimisation, and turnaround strategies,
- CA qualified (or equivalent).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including financial modelling and data analysis.
- A positive and entrepreneurial mindset, with adaptability, collaboration, and a passion to achieve.
- A strong team player with a genuine interest in contributing to a good team culture.
