In the United Kingdom- London
Simon-Kucher is a global consultancy with more than 2,000 employees in 30 countries. Our sole focus is on unlocking better growth that drives measurable revenue and profit for our clients. We achieve this by optimizing every lever of their commercial strategy – product, price, innovation, marketing, and sales – based on deep insights into what customers want and value. With nearly 40 years of experience in monetization topics of all kinds, we are regarded as the world’s leading pricing and growth specialist.
This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in Consulting as an Intern in our Transaction Services & Private Equity team!
What we offer:
We are looking for internship candidates who are interested in learning more about a career in commercial strategy consulting with a specific focus on Transaction Services & Private Equity. You must be graduated and looking for full-time employment to be eligible to apply.
Internships within TSPE usually last around 8 weeks and are designed to expose individuals to working on client projects. Interns can expect responsibility from the outset as a valued member of the project team. Throughout your time at Simon-Kucher you will contribute to analysis and results, benefiting from working alongside experienced Consultants, Directors and Partners. Whilst commercial due diligence will be the key focus of the team, we work collaboratively with other parts of Simon-Kucher, and therefore you will have the opportunity to also work on non-deal engagements; in areas such as M&A strategy, market reviews, revenue growth, pricing, marketing efficiency and digital strategy. Projects tend to be relatively short (average length of 3-4 weeks), providing the chance to learn a lot and work with different clients across a variety of sectors.
Our TSPE team support leading mid and large-cap PE clients, as well as corporates, to invest in the right businesses, addressing interesting questions such as:
- How large is this market, how fast is it growing and how will it develop in the future?
- Is this company winning, and if so, how is it taking market share from its competitors?
- How satisfied are customers, and what is the potential for future up-sell versus risk of losing customers?
- Can the business achieve its revenue growth targets?
- How can growth of this business be accelerated over the next 3-4 years?
- How would this market and business perform in a recession?
Simon-Kucher is growing, creating an entrepreneurial and inspiring work environment where you can take on real responsibility and experience a steep learning curve. Internships are our primary pathway for recruiting entry-level Consultants in the London office, so strong performance during your internship can open the door to continuing your career with us.
What you bring:
- A strong interest in Transaction Services & Private Equity
- Strong academic background from a Russel Group university or overseas equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- High percentile numeric, verbal and inductive reasoning skills
- A strong desire to work in a fast paced commercially agile environment
- Enthusiasm, curiosity and a belief that you can achieve the best results
