The Team
Alvarez & Marsal’sCorporate FinancebusinessunitinMadridisan emerging practice with an entrepreneurial spirit and ambitions for rapid growth. We are currently looking for an Intern to join our team.
You will have the opportunity of workingwith high international exposure andacross the entiretransactionlife cycle.A&MCorporate Financehasa unique delivery model that enables junior members of the team to gain extensive exposure to Managing Directors andother senior members of the teamthus empowering individuals to fast track their careers and development. As an Intern, you will be working closely with the rest of the team and gain ‘on-the-job’ learning and development,leveragingon their substantial experience.
How you will contribute
Working with the other members of the team,the internwill be involved in the following tasks:
- Participating in the executionandsuccessofour mandates
- Contributing to strategic recommendations andinsights
- Collecting and analysing strategic data using internal tools (e.g.CapitalIQ,MergerMarket,Gartner)
- Assistingintheproduction ofpitches, deliverables,marketingand commercialdocuments
- Supportingprospection andnegotiationmeetings
- Updating and monitoringCRMsystemsanddatabases
- Conducting strategic market studies (benchmarking and sector/company analyses)
- Researching potential targets and preparingoutreach approaches (identifyingkey people,strategies,etc.)
Qualificatons
- Studying at a leadingUniversities,BusinessSchoolsand / or Engineering, orequivalent;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solvingskills;
- Excellent verbal and written communicationskills;
- Ability to prioritise – especially in highly pressuredsituations;
- AdvancedExcel andPowerpointskills;
- Fluent business level English andSpanishisessential. Additional European language skills including German, Italian orFrencharedesirable;
- Final-year student with astrong interest in a career withinM&A and Finance.
