The Team
A&M’s Turnaround & Restructuring team in Paris is a core part of the firm’s European restructuring platform. The team advises corporates, private equity sponsors, lenders, and other stakeholders across a wide range of stressed and distressed situations, from early-stage performance challenges to complex restructuring and turnaround mandates.
Professionals in the Paris team work on high-impact, time-critical engagements, often with senior-level stakeholders, and benefit from close collaboration with colleagues across Europe and globally. The team offers significant exposure to complex situations, strong professional development opportunities, and the ability to make a tangible difference for clients when it matters most.
How You Will Contribute
As a Director in the Turnaround & Restructuring practice, you will play a leadership role in delivering operational restructuring engagements and supporting the continued growth of the practice in France and across Europe. You will work closely with senior client stakeholders and A&M leadership to drive execution, improve operational performance, and create sustainable value.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading operational restructuring engagements for underperforming or stressed businesses
- Diagnosing operational inefficiencies and developing actionable improvement plans
- Redesigning organizational structures, processes, and governance to drive performance
- Implementing cost optimization and efficiency initiatives across functions and business units
- Supporting operational turnaround initiatives, including workforce realignment, supply chain optimization, and performance management enhancements
- Acting as a trusted advisor to management teams, boards, shareholders, and investors on operational strategy and transformation
- Overseeing performance metrics, operational modeling, and reporting to support informed decision-making
- Leading, mentoring, and developing project teams across multiple engagements
- Contributing to business development efforts, including proposals, pitches, and relationship building with key stakeholders
Qualifications
- 10 + years of relevant experience in operational restructuring, management consulting, operations improvement, or turnaround management
- Strong experience advising companies in operational distress or underperformance situations
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments, including management teams and boards
- Deep operational, analytical, and problem-solving skillset with a focus on performance improvement
- Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to manage and develop teams
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial awareness
- Fluency in French and English (written and spoken)
