The Team
Our Dispute & Investigations practice provides independent, analytical advice in the context of disputes, litigation,arbitrationand regulatory matters. Within this practice, the role sits primarily within the valuation and financial modelling stream, supporting dispute-related valuation analysis and expert work.
The team specialises in valuations prepared for contentious contexts, including litigation, arbitration, shareholder disputes, and regulatory proceedings. Work is highly analytical and requires careful application of valuation methodologies, financialmodellingand clear documentation suitable for experts and court processes.Unlike valuations performed for corporate finance or transaction purposes, dispute‑related valuations require a high degree of analytical rigour,strong foundations in corporate finance theory,independence, and clear documentation suitable for expert reports. Analysts will apply valuation methodologies in a forensic context, where assumptions must be defensible and prepared for challenge in arbitration or litigation settings.
How You Will Contribute
As an Analyst, you will primarily support valuation-focused engagement within the Disputes & Investigations team. Your responsibilitiesinclude:
- Building,reviewingandmaintainingfinancial models and valuation analysis for dispute matters
- Assistingwith the preparation of valuation schedules, expert reports, and supporting materials
- Applying valuation methodologies in a dispute context, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
- Conducting financial, accounting and industry research to support valuation assumptions
- Working closely with senior team members on valuation-driven dispute engagements
The role is well suited to candidate with a strong interest in valuation and financial modelling, who is keen to apply these skills in adispute'senvironment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related quantitative field with a strong academic background.
- Evident interest in valuation assignments within dispute or litigation scenarios.
- Prior internship or relevant practical experience is preferred, particularly in financial modelling, valuation, or analytical roles.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills,demonstratinga methodical approach to complex issues.
- Advancedproficiencyin Excel; experience with VBA programming is highly desirable.
- Superior attention to detail with the ability to work effectively with complex financial information/financial models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- CFA or CAcandidacyis preferred.
