About The Role
We are seeking a results-driven Data Analyst with experience in Business Operations and Mobility Service Providers to support co-development engagements. This role focuses on driving efficiency, optimizing processes, and enhancing business performance through independent data analysis, reporting, and insights generation.
This is a high-visible, business-critical role with direct responsibility for client engagement, and operational execution - The Analyst will collaborate with senior leaders and Business Development Managers, utilizing a deep understanding of operational workflows and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will work across diverse teams—including Customer Experience, Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Support, Sales, Strategy, Finance, and Legal—to achieve operational excellence and deliver impactful insights that advance business objectives and strengthen customer and partnership outcomes.
- Proven expertise in business operations analysis with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive hands-on experience using key analytical and reporting tools, including:
- Power BI for data visualization and dashboard creation.
- Tableau for data visualization and operational reporting.
- Microsoft Excel for advanced data analysis, manipulation and reporting via formulas, macros and queries.
- Jira and Confluence for issue tracking and project documentation.
- Microsoft SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint for document management and presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements, evaluate operational performance, and deliver actionable insights for leadership.
- Prepare and present regular operational reports and business reviews for leadership and stakeholders using Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
- Manage operational metrics to support strategic decisions.
- Support and implement operational strategies to streamline business processes and improve efficiency.
- Work with teams to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and measure operational effectiveness, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Drive adoption of new processes, tools, and systems to enhance operational efficiency and scalability through data analysis.
- Leverage technology solutions and automation to optimize workflows and improve data-driven decision-making, with a strong focus on analytical tools.
- Build and maintain key customer and stakeholder relationships, facilitating best-in-class customer experience through data-informed recommendations.
- Engage with technical support teams as needed for rapid and effective resolution of operational issues, providing data analysis to support resolutions.
Analytical Functions
- Independently conduct in-depth data analysis using Power BI, Tableau, and Excel to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators and operational metrics.
- Translate complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights for various stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Support the creation and refinement of KPIs to monitor and measure operational effectiveness.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of operational strategies through data-driven recommendations.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains based on data analysis.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency in all reporting and analysis.
Technical Experience
- Over 5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and insights generation in software, networking, web, cloud, or mobility environments.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in a related technical field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics) or equivalent analytical experience.
- Proven expertise in business operations analysis with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive hands-on experience using key analytical and reporting tools, including:
- Power BI for data visualization and dashboard creation.
- Tableau for data visualization and operational reporting.
- Microsoft Excel for advanced data analysis, manipulation and reporting via formulas, macros and queries.
- Jira and Confluence for issue tracking and project documentation.
- Microsoft SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint for document management and presentations.
- Skilled at navigating rapid changes and ambiguity by applying critical thinking and adaptive problem-solving, with a strong analytical focus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities, enabling effective engagement with senior executives, technical teams, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a strong capacity to adapt and independently develop analytical solutions that drive positive customer outcomes.
Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for the position is between $75,000/year - $90,000/year and depends on experience and other qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
