Overview
- We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Data Quality & Data Operations Analyst who will help maintain and improve the quality of core insurance data and related processes.
- This role sits at the intersection of business operations, data analysis, and technical collaboration.
- You will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and developers to ensure data integrity, resolve complex issues, and continuously improve data processes.
- After initial onboarding into the business context and technical environment, you will be expected to work independently to take ownership of problems, analyse data and systems in depth, and deliver clear end-to-end outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform data curation and validation activities to ensure high data quality across core insurance datasets.
- Investigate and resolve complex data issues through deep analysis of data structures and system behaviour.
- Work with graph databases (Neo4j) and relational data structures to identify inconsistencies and anomalies.
- Conduct root cause analysis for data issues and collaborate with developers to implement sustainable fixes.
- Define and document business and technical requirements for improvements to data processes and systems.
- Support testing and validation of new technical solutions and enhancements before production deployment.
- Monitor data flows and business logic to ensure consistency across systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, processes, and automation.
- Deliver clear end-to-end outcomes when assigned tasks, including analysis, solution proposal, and final validation.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
Required Skills & Traits
- 4-7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical mindset and experience working with structured data.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliation, and validation.
- Experience with data investigation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to understand business processes and translate them into structured solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to detect inconsistencies in data and processes.
- Ownership mentality and an independent working style, driving complex tasks from initial analysis to completion.
- Structured, disciplined approach to problem-solving with a positive, collaborative attitude.
- Curiosity and willingness to continuously learn new business and technical concepts.
Desirable Skills (Nice To Have)
- Experience working with Neo4j or graph databases.
- Basic SQL knowledge, including the ability to read and understand queries.
- Background in insurance, financial services, or data operations.
- Experience collaborating with software developers and technical teams.
- Experience with data quality management or data governance.
- Familiarity with ticket-based operational workflows.
Technical Environment
- Neo4j graph database for data exploration, analysis, and validation.
- SQL and relational databases.
- Excel for data analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
- Jira for ticket management and workflow tracking.
- Slack for operational communication.
- Internal data curation tools and operational platforms.
- Collaboration with engineering teams working in modern development environments.
