Finance Transformation – Strategic Focus
Our Finance Transformation team helps leading organizations drive sustainable change and create business value through initiatives aligned with their strategic goals. Working closely with CFOs and executive teams, we transform finance functions into strategic business partners by improving decision-making, enhancing control, and enabling more agile and value-driven operating models.
As a Strategy and Transformation Consultant, you will contribute to high-impact transformation projects focused on finance operating models, business integrations, and the evolution of planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. You will help develop the case for change, design target operating models, and define transformation roadmaps aligned with business strategy.
You will work in a dynamic, cross-industry environment alongside clients and Capgemini Invent teams, driving organizational change, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening the strategic role of Finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise our clients on the evolution and transformation of electricity and gas companies by designing and implementing operating models that incorporate AI and other emerging technologies, as well as Shared Services Centers (SSCs) and Global Business Services (GBS), both in-house and outsourced.
- Optimize end-to-end revenue cycle processes for electricity and gas distributors and retailers, applying best practices in process modeling, optimization, automation, and process mining.
- Assess the relevance of emerging technologies (particularly AI) and their strategic impact on the processes and operating models of electricity and gas companies.
- Develop functional specifications for transformation projects within electricity and gas companies, with a particular focus on distributors and energy retailers.
- Define efficiency programs by restructuring financial organizations and freeing up resources to support investment initiatives aimed at transforming electricity and gas company processes, with a strong focus on investment appraisal and working capital optimization.
- Develop the case for change, including business cases that integrate people, processes, technology, and data within enterprise transformation programs.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CFA, ACCA, or PMP are considered a plus.
- Between 3 and 5 years of experience in process transformation within the electricity and gas sector or in related roles.
- Knowledge of electricity and gas market regulations.
- Understanding of billing models and financial control frameworks.
- Experience with (or a strong interest in) AI-driven process transformation frameworks.
- Functional knowledge of utility billing systems (SAP IS-U or similar platforms); additional knowledge of AI solutions such as Claude and Copilot is highly valued.
- Fluent English proficiency (minimum C1 level). Potential assignment to projects with an international scope.
