Investment Associate | Frankfurt
Our client, an established investment firm with a focus on technology and software businesses, is looking for an Investment Associate to join its Frankfurt team. The position offers hands-on exposure to investment opportunities, transaction execution and portfolio development, working closely with senior investment professionals.
The Role
- Evaluate new investment opportunities across technology, software and tech-enabled businesses
- Conduct financial analysis, valuation and investment modelling
- Support transactions from initial screening through due diligence and execution
- Analyse business models, competitive positioning, market dynamics and growth potential
- Prepare investment memoranda, presentations and investment committee materials
- Work alongside senior investment professionals on transaction processes and portfolio initiatives
- Monitor portfolio company performance and support strategic value-creation projects
Requirements
- 2–3 years of professional experience in private equity, growth equity, investment banking/M&A or management consulting
- Fluent German is mandatory, alongside strong English communication skills
- Exposure to technology, software or technology-enabled businesses
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial statements, valuation and investment analysis
- Commercial mindset with the ability to evaluate companies and investment opportunities
- Excellent academic background and strong attention to detail
- Proactive, entrepreneurial personality with an interest in investing
