What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking candidates to provide management consulting support to the Department of Energy (DOE). Roles are available at a Senior Consultant level, and the consultant will have responsibility for project support, research and analysis, and technical solution development including analyses related to clean energy, energy efficiency and energy modernization technologies and related policies.
Responsibilities:
- Support DOE programs and processes to meet agency mission objectives and organization-specific business goals
- Engage and communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders (e.g., community, local and state stakeholders as well as clean energy workforce) and understand their needs as well as develop and technical assistance documents and plans
- Collaborate with DOE clients and Guidehouse colleagues to solve problems, improve processes and create high quality deliverables
- Work across multiple workstreams, effectively manage time, and track key project metrics and indicators
- Develop high-quality client-ready work products (including developing reports and presentations, conducting analyses, and presenting findings)
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university
- 3+ years of experience of work experience
- Demonstrated experience in at least two more of the following topical areas:
- State and local energy or decarbonization planning and design which could include market, policy and economic assessments and energy security plans
- Building retrofits, inspections, and assessments
- Energy workforce analysis training and best practices
- Community benefits plans and agreements and equity mapping / analysis tools
- Energy modeling and related savings calculators
- Electricity and/or energy system planning support
- Transportation decarbonization planning support
- Clean energy related siting and environmental reviews to support program planning and design
- Clean energy related report writing and technical resource development
- Clean energy related program data analysis (e.g., development of program support tools or reporting out on program/project metrics tracking)
- Clean energy related stakeholder engagement meeting organization and facilitation, which could include technical meetings
- Ability to thrive in client service and team-based environments, especially when tackling unstructured problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders and partners
- Strong analytical, writing and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, well organized and ability to self-prioritize multiple activities.
- Proficiency with Excel, databases, Word, and PowerPoint.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance
- Must be willing to travel up to ~20% of the time during the work week
- This is a hybrid role which requires you to be within a commutable distance and have the ability to work out of Arlington, VA or at our NY (third avenue) office. If located outside of area, must be willing to relocate without financial assistance.

The annual salary range for this position is $94,900.00-$142,300.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
