Practice Area
BCG’s Financial Institutions Practice Area (FIPA) aims to be the consultant of choice for leaders in the financial industry. We seek to achieve that goal by helping clients find their way amid the ever-evolving, ever-shifting competitive landscape. By focusing on the fundamental economics of their businesses and the underlying needs of their customers, we help banks, brokerages, asset managers and other financial- services organizations rethink their strategic assumptions, identify winning business propositions, and seize new opportunities in the expanding digital environment.
What You'll Do
As a Consultant, Project leader or Associate Director within BCG’s Risk & Compliance Practice Expert Career Track (ECT), you will be a core member of our practice working alongside some of the world’s top minds in industry shaping the future of banking and other Financial Services segments. You will collaborate on challenging projects with team members from many backgrounds, advising clients on a variety of topics, including:
- Definition and implementation of a global risk governance framework and the associated organization,
- Modeling and aligning risk management processes with the organization's objectives and regulatory constraints,
- Project management with risk departments (stress testing, FRTB, etc.),
- Monitoring and analysis of regulatory requirements, their developments and their operational application in the specific context of our clients.
- Risk and Compliance: Supporting clients to optimize their Risk and Compliance capabilities
- Strategy: Understanding and addressing the most complex business problems
- Digital: Setting the ambition, identifying opportunities and executing the strategy
While contributing to client cases, workshops, and proposals you will occasionally travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions.
Our Expert Consulting Track
The Expert Consulting Track (ECT) is vital to BCG’s ability to successfully meet our clients’ demand for deep expertise and advanced technical capabilities. Experts deliver next-level impact for BCG's most complex and cutting-edge client challenges. Experts focus on developing BCG's thought leadership, commercial capabilities, and intellectual property assets; and their work is essential to our delivery model. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to bring the ‘best of BCG’ to our clients, Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise often gained outside of BCG in industry, academia, or specialized consulting.
What You'll Bring
- Experience working with a leading consulting firm(s) focused on Financial Services and/or experience with banks or FinTechs
- Experience working in multiple areas of Risk and Compliance
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English, in addition to a strong presence and leadership skills
- Experience of devising and implementing strategy involving quantitative analysis, conceptualization, and communication of strategic solutions
- Have the interpersonal skills to partner with executive management teams as they implement a new vision and passion for enabling leaders to drive change within organizations set you apart
- Be a collaborative team player with positive attitude, high ethical standards and experienced in international work
