WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:
Bain’s Performance Improvement (PI) practice is a large and integral part of Bain’s business, helping clients address strategic cost and operational issues. The Practice is a global capability that cuts across all industries, including Manufacturing, Energy & Natural Resources, Retail, Consumer Products, Technology & Cloud Services, Healthcare & Life sciences. PI also supports private equity investors performing operational due diligence on potential investment targets.
The PI-affiliated Summer Associate internship is for MBA or advanced degree candidates with expertise and interest in PI-related topics and who would like to focus earlier in their Bain career. Affiliated consultants, while still part of their home office consulting class, are staffed by the practice with a focus on PI cases in order to build deeper expertise.
The internship program starts with an intensive training to learn core consulting skills. You’ll work alongside Bain knowledge experts tackling complex business challenges and use your skills to help drive change in a range of organizations from global leaders to start-ups. Most SAs are amazed at the wealth of industry knowledge, client management and communication skills they acquire. You’ll also have the opportunity to secure a full-time offer to join Bain as a PI-affiliated consultant upon completion of your studies.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a PI-affiliated Summer Associate, your analytical, interpersonal, creative thinking, business management and leadership skills will be called upon from day one. You will be staffed to a case with a focus on your expertise in supply chain, procurement, or cost transformations – across a broad set of potential industries and leveraging the full consulting toolkit.
Over the course of the summer, you will work directly with case teams and clients to solve business problems and drive change, being immersed in the responsibilities of a full-time Bain consultant, including...
