What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking a highly motivated, passionate, and detail-oriented Medicaid Data Consulting Lead to manage a team performing analysis of State Medicaid data and providing technical assistance to the States.
The ideal candidate will have a strong client service or consulting background, project management, people management, experience with Medicaid systems, Medicaid data and analytic tools. You will also be expected to grow and develop Guidehouse’s team and solutions internally in a way that fosters career development, fiscal responsibility, and culture/brand.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Plays an integral role in with client interactions to understand priorities and tasks, perform capacity and workload management, and coordinate with the team on task delivery.
- Leads a team that provides data coaching and technical assistance to State Medicaid representatives to resolve data issues, including working sessions to enable a deeper understanding of requirements.
- Provides leadership to the team in state technical assistance and state engagement conversations. Defines the framework that will be used to provide external-facing technical assistance to the user community.
- Collaborates with cross-functional team using data validation tools to identify issues and data discrepancies and provide recommended solutions.
- Provides oversight for the team that maintains, tracks, and collaborates on multiple distinct user community issues simultaneously; keeping all conversations well documented and ensuring appropriate internal/intra team communications to remediate issues or questions.
- Communicate complex data and operational issues/recommendations to all aspects of users, peers, technical and non-technical community, and internal team members.
- Applies knowledge of Medicaid data (eligibility, managed care, claims, encounters, financials, etc.) and process to coach stakeholders on data compliance.
- Develops training materials to conduct coaching sessions.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities to improve community satisfaction; collaborates with human-centered design team, support analysts, and engineers.
What You Will Need:
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Seven (7) plus years of professional work experience.
- Experience interacting with clients, leading workstreams/deliverables, and managing people.
- Experience working with Medicaid data.
- Ability to communicate technical outcomes to both technical audiences, and non-technical audiences in an approachable and understandable manner.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, accuracy with work, strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust; residing in the United States.
What Would Be Nice to Have:
- Ten (10+) years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with data analytic tools (such as, Python, R, or similar tools).
- Experience performing data analysis using SQL.
- Experience with agile methodologies and an iterative mindset.
- Experience applying human centered-design principles during discovery and analysis.
- Experience with Atlassian Jira/Confluence.
The annual salary range for this position is $125,600.00-$188,400.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
