What You Will Do
As a Consulting Manager at GEP, you will lead transformational programs, set strategic directions, and align resources to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients. With your expertise in procurement and a background in the aviation industry, you will drive cost-reduction programs, enhance operational efficiencies, and manage supplier relationships to deliver tangible business value.
Client Engagement Leadership
- Lead client engagements, driving initiatives in strategic sourcing, spend analysis, supplier relationship management, and procurement transformation.
- Set and execute strategies aligned with client objectives to achieve measurable outcomes, including cost savings, improved SLAs, and operational efficiencies.
- Partner with C-suite stakeholders to design and implement transformative procurement solutions.
Aviation Expertise
- Apply deep industry knowledge of aviation categories such as Aircraft Maintenance, Airport/Flight Operations, Inflight Entertainment, Interiors, and Onboard Experience.
- Drive cost-reduction programs and process optimization in areas critical to the aviation sector.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Analyze complex datasets to generate actionable insights and provide fact-based recommendations.
- Leverage tools and methodologies (e.g., spend analysis, procurement software, Six Sigma) to inform strategy and execution.
Team Leadership and Development
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering their professional growth and creating a collaborative, high-performing culture.
- Promote knowledge-sharing and build a strong, united team culture.
What You Should Bring
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- MBA or advanced degree from a top-tier institution is strongly preferred.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in management consulting, procurement, or a blend of consulting and industry experience.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement transformation within the aviation industry.
- Expertise in procurement areas such as category management, risk management, supplier development, and Source-to-Pay/Procure-to-Pay processes.
Aviation Industry Expertise
- Comprehensive knowledge of aviation-specific categories and operational requirements.
Skills & Attributes
- Demonstrated leadership with a proven ability to autonomously deliver impactful results.
- Exceptional client management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in advanced Excel. Familiarity with business improvement methodologies and procurement technologies is a plus.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel weekly to client sites as needed.
