SUMMER ASSOCIATE OVERVIEW
The ten-week internship program is designed to expose MBA and Master’s students to the internal business development and sales function. It is designed to offer a robust learning experience for individuals interested in impacting the nonprofit sector. Associates will have the opportunity to participate in ongoing efforts to advance business development and marketing support operations. Summer associates will be directly supervised by the Senior Director, Business Development & Marketing and will be in regular communication with CCS Executives, including the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Operations. In addition to the day-to-day projects, the Summer Associate will be assigned one larger project that will be advanced over the 10-week period. At the end of the program, the associate will present on this project to CCS Executives.
Based upon performance, each associate also will be considered for a full-time employment offer.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Current enrollment in an MBA or Master program (preference for communications, marketing, public relations, English, business administration)
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to adapt content and messaging for multiple audiences and purposes
- Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, or other design platforms preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, volunteers, donors, and prospective donors
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

PROJECT OVERVIEW
CCS is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Associate to support internal Business Development and Marketing. This role will work closely with the Senior Director, Business Development and Marketing to plan, coordinate, and execute regional marketing activities. This includes a focus on supporting conference attendance and sponsorships, events, speaking engagements, local partnerships, and more. Responsibilities could include:
- Supporting region-specific philanthropic events in Q3 and Q4 through support for primarily through list development, content development, and topic-specific research
- Supporting virtual webinars through list development, invitation drafts, and content development
- Coordinating mass email campaigns through content development, coordinating reviews, creating campaign in the CRM database, list development, and more
- Preparing executives for conference attendance by drafting pre-event outreach andpost-event outreach
- Developing presentations and notes for speaking engagements
- Coordinating logistics for sponsorships
