About the BI Team: The Kantar BI team is a dynamic, integrated function that delivers expert data tools and insights to Finance across Kantar. Our primary focus is to empower business teams with seamless access to high-quality data while managing best-in-class business intelligence solutions. By enhancing data quality and streamlining BI processes, we drive operational excellence and elevate the overall business experience.
Why this job is important
As a Business Intelligence Analyst within Kantar’s BI team, you will play a key role in executing and supporting the company’s business intelligence strategy. Reporting directly to the BI Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality reporting, analytics, and data-driven insights that align with strategic objectives. Your contributions will help transform raw data into valuable business intelligence, whether through reports, analyses, or by enhancing the team’s existing BI assets.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Project Ownership: Take charge of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with team priorities and strategic goals. Oversee the entire delivery process from inception to completion, adhering to deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Create and sustain strategic dashboards, offering data-driven insights regarding performance across all financial dimensions.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular updates on project progress, address concerns, and ensure deliverables meet stakeholder requirements.
- Advanced Analytics Support: Facilitate the application of advanced analytics models, such as forecasting, collaborating with the BI Manager to ensure new models are seamlessly incorporated into existing systems and processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process optimization and innovation. Support the team’s efforts to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities by facilitating automation of reporting with BI Tools.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with all team members to ensure effective collaboration. Communicate effectively to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Training & Education: Participate in training and education programs to enhance your BI skills and knowledge. Support the broader team’s efforts to promote a data-driven culture within the organisation.
The Skills & Experience Needed As Business Intelligence Analyst
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, data science, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in a business intelligence, data analysis, or similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in BI tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, or MicroStrategy), data analysis techniques, and proficiency in Excel. Familiarity with ERP Reporting Platforms (Maconomy, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Task Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with team priorities.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify challenges and develop effective solutions.
- Collaboration: A team player with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
