About the Digital & Technology Services (DTS) Practice:
This role sits within the EMEA Digital & Technology Services (DTS) practice, which focuses on six core areas of expertise: Digital Strategy, Digital Customer Experience, Data & Intelligence, Cyber Security, Smart Products & Assets, and Business Technology (BT).
We take a holistic approach to digital services, encompassing Strategy, Customer Experience, Technology, and Data. Our positioning is at the intersection of strategy and execution (not slides and then gone, nor fingers on keyboards coding & testing or detailed customer journey designing), architecting the destination, orchestrating the delivery and navigating the change & transformation journey.
Our Business Technology team works with private equity funds, corporates, and financial services clients across EMEA to:
- Realign the performance of the technology / IT function through operational restructuring to directly improve the earnings and cashflow within the business;
- Carry out effective technology and product due diligence pre-deal and provide necessary post deal services (Post Merger Integration, Separation, Carve-Out, 100-day planning);
- Shape and deliver enterprise-wide systems and online programs to deliver performance improvement via business transformation and/or cost reduction outcomes;
- Manage and develop technology (ERP, CRM, Business Intelligence assets and systems) to meet strategic and operational business requirements. This would include development of KPI’s and dashboards to provide better visibility to the underlying business;
- Take interim management positions for example (and depending on experience) CIO, CTO, IT Director, Program Manager etc.
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a hands-on Business Technology team at the (Senior) Associate level. You will work closely with experienced colleagues in a flat team structure, supporting high-impact projects and engaging directly with CTOs, CIOs, and senior leadership teams.
You will:
- Support workstreams within business transformation and IT strategy projects
- Analyze internal and external data, build financial models, and create structured reports and presentations
- Assist in developing technology roadmaps, target operating models, and IT transformation strategies
- Support pre- and post-deal tech due diligence, IT carve-outs, and IT cost optimization projects
- Work alongside senior experts across various industries to assess and improve IT architectures and infrastructures
- Contribute to practice development efforts, including knowledge sharing and drive initiatives
Requirements:
We welcome candidates with the following qualifications:
- Consulting expertise – ability to frame business issues, analyze internal and external data, build financial models in Excel, and create clear presentations and reports
- Strategic problem-solving – ability to work with international teams to develop actionable IT strategies and transformation initiatives
- Project execution – prior exposure to technology due diligence, IT M&A, or IT transformation projects
What We Value:
- Strong academic record, including financial and analytical acumen
- Native or fluent business-level German and English
- Years of relevant experience in an international consulting
- Interest in areas such as ERP systems, enterprise applications, cloud platforms, infrastructure, cybersecurity, compliance, automation or generative AI (...)
