Ankura seeks a Financial Due Diligence Associate to work with our teams on financial due diligence for middle-market US clients. This role supports buy-side and sell-side due diligence within our rapidly growing Transaction Advisory Services. Practice Overview:
We are seeking a ‘rising star’ to join our talented team of Diligence experts. Our professionals provide expert advice and independent analysis on financial and operational efficiency for target companies in both Buy-Side and Sell-Side deals. Our Financial Due Diligence (FDD) practice operates in the United States, Australia, and London with over 20 billable professionals.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with onshore teams on managing data rooms, preparing document request lists, conducting workbook analyses, performing Quality of Earnings assessments, compiling due diligence reports, and participating in client and engagement team calls.
- Interpret financial statements, conduct financial ratio analyses, understand U.S. GAAP accounting standards, and apply financial concepts.
- Demonstrate advanced skills in Excel (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and complex formulas), Word, and PowerPoint.
- Exhibit strong analytical abilities in operational and financial analysis, benchmarking, and trend analysis.
- Showcase exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Develop and train team members.
- Prepare high-level workbooks adhering to the firm's professional standards and project requirements, minimizing rework and review comments.
- Prioritize data from financial reports into Excel workbook analyses to offer valuable insights for U.S.-based engagement teams in mergers and acquisitions.
- Assist in crafting Quality of Earnings adjustments, conduct Net Working Capital analyses, identify Debt-like items, and highlight key points for report consideration.
- Review and finalize client reports, ensuring the accuracy of figures.
- Coordinate remotely with Ankura consulting professionals and senior management in the U.S. daily, including participating in early morning and late evening conference calls.
- Demonstrate superior communication, detail orientation, accuracy, project management, organization, prioritization, and follow-up skills.
- Conduct industry-specific and ad hoc analyses.
- Prepare management discussion decks.
- Ensure the consistency and accuracy of final deliverables.
- Proficiency in basic Debt/Debt-Like and Net Working Capital analysis and adjustment calculations.
- Basic understanding of technology tools like Power BI and Power Query.
Requirements:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively engage with internal team members and external clients.
- Commitment to investing time in communication with U.S.-based teams.
- Ability to be a self-starter, confidently interact with team members and clients, and ask insightful questions.
- Capable of working under tight deadlines and taking responsibility for completing tasks promptly.
- Preferred experience in the healthcare industry.
