The Team
A&M are recognized as a market leader in Paris across Corporate Transformation, Performance Improvement and Restructuring whilst our Paris based Transaction Advisory team has grown considerably since its foundation. In 2019 we successfully expanded our European Valuations team to Paris and this team is now highly active in France.
Our European Valuation Services business has offices in London, Paris, Stockholm, Frankfurt and Amsterdam and we provide a full suite of valuation services in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, complex financial instruments, illiquid securities, and private equity. Our restructuring heritage sharpens our ability to act decisively on behalf of our clients. We are unrestricted by any audit conflicts and we offer our clients a fully integrated international approach across different teams and offices
How you will contribute
Due to increasing demand for Valuation services in these busy times, A&M is looking to further grow the team and we are looking for an Analyst to join us in our Paris office.
Typical projects will include;
- PE Portfolio Valuations
- Mergers & Acquisitions
- Valuations in a Restructuring context
- Alternative Investments
- Complex Financial Instruments
- Intellectual Property Valuations
- Fairness Opinions and Commercial Valuations
Responsibilities:
- As part of a select and highly skilled team, you will have the opportunity to get involved in multiple and complex Valuation engagements, working closely with Managing Directors and Senior Directors
- You will have the opportunity to use the commercial aspects of your financial analysis skills and use a variety of tools to conduct extensive data analysis and valuation modelling
- You will conduct research, synthesize information and be responsible for writing and developing reports
- A&M work with a variety of large-cap and mid-cap PE houses, corporate clients and financial institutions providing you with broad industry exposure in addition to formal training and ‘on the job’ learning and development.
- You will gain constant exposure to the Managing Directors, leveraging their substantial experience and also be actively involved in commercial, business development, and marketing.
Qualifications
- Valuation experience through internships at a Big 4 accounting firm, a consulting firm, or an independent valuation firm.
- Strong educational background and exceptional academic record, including a strong focus on Finance and/or Mathematics
- Interested in or working towards a professional qualification – CFA / ACCA
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint - In-depth experience conducting Financial Analysis and Financial Modelling
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Fluent business level French and English is essential. Additional European languages are highly valued
- Ambitious with a desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial culture
