Overview
Reporting to the Director of Business & Financial Services (BFS) Business Unit, this exciting role would encompass the design and fulfilment of bespoke research projects for leading clients, by leading/leveraging a team of Analysts and Researchers across Frost & Sullivan's global operation. Preferred work location is the Bangkok, Thailand office; however, we are open to discuss other possible work locations with the right candidate. Responsibilities
- Project Fulfilment for market reports that will support Initial Public Offering and Growth engagements
- Lead project fulfilment and manage projects to ensure client expectations are met. Responsible to deliver projects on time with a high degree of quality
- Constant interaction with analysts and clients during projects. Guide internal analysts in the research process. Participate and lead all client interaction including progress updates, etc.
- Accountable for data collection, analysis and report writing for research projects across diverse industries in SEA
- Collect a wide range of research data from various secondary sources (online and offline) and primary interviews with industry stakeholders and ecosystem participants
- Overcome roadblocks in data gathering by identifying alternative sources and approaches for the data required during each research project. Guide analysts to overcome roadblocks
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data collected
- Work with the research team during data analysis
- Interpret the research data and findings to generate industry insights
- Estimate the market size and market shares of key industry participants. The data, findings and forecasts could be presented in public documents calling for high accuracy and robust analysis.
- Carry out proper and rigorous QC / Reviews to ensure data accuracy and consistency; language content flow
- Prepare succinct report/presentation for research projects
- Develop case-studies of projects completed and value propositions that can be shown to clients.
- Actively support senior team members in business development activities as well as proposal development or modules thereof, as required
- Prepare succinct report/presentation for the sales efforts of the team
- Work with the regional head to develop and make sales presentations
- Support the team leader with sales and administrative tasks as required
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be an extremely professional and committed research individual with a good understanding of market research methodologies. A pro-active, methodical and innovative working practice is essential, with a proven ability to deliver accurate results.
- Masters/Bachelors’ Degree from a reputable institution. MBA is preferable, but not essential
- 2-5 years of prior industry experience with emphasis on market research / investment banking / financial regulatory environment will be highly valued.
- Strong problem solving skills and proactive nature
- Strong skill set in market estimation and modelling (knowledge in regression modelling will be highly valued)
- Strong customer orientation with an ability to understand client requirements; conceptualize research framework and approach and successfully execute projects within defined timelines
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal including good presentation skills. Fluency in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and organization skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point applications
- Good understanding and experience in research and due diligence projects
- Are Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Take ownership to work independently with remote supervision
