Data Analyst
Key Role:
Develop and maintain data pipelines in Databricks to collect large datasets of raw data from various systems and sources to discover useful information, suggest conclusions, and support decision-making. Filter, clean, such as handle missing and ambiguous values, and prepare the dataset for analysis to ensure accuracy, completeness, and relevance. Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data. Analyze data using statistical tools and data mining techniques to identify patterns, relationships, and trends. Develop, implement, and maintain data models to support analytics and reporting. Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets. Create visualizations, reports, and story-based presentations to communicate actionable insights and findings to make the data understandable. Work directly with our stakeholders and others to gather information, understand data, provide status updates, and build relationships. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience using Spark or PySpark for data analysis
- 5+ years of experience using Python for data collection, validation, cleaning, and analysis
- 5+ years of experience with SQL
- 5+ years of experience in data visualization tools, such as Microsoft PowerBI or Tableau
- Experience with Databricks or data wrangling via notebooks like Jupyter or iPython
- Experience in statistics and practical experience with statistical software, including Excel
- Experience in data validation and cleaning to ensure the quality and integrity of data
- Experience with developing story-based, PowerPoint presentations showcasing insights from data analysis for various audience levels
- Ability to be flexible and organized, prioritize and multi-task, and thrive with asking questions.
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or data science
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience analyzing Microsoft 365 and Moveworks data
- Experience with agile methodologies
- Experience working in dynamic, ambiguous environments that require flexibility
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and tools
- Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
