Role Overview

The role of the Manager is to apply strategic consulting expertise in the areas of purchasing, supply chain management, business process outsourcing and technology to take GEP to the next level. This manager level consultant will also manage and supervise the delivery of supply chain consulting services and assist in development of new service

Key Responsibilities

Contributing to the development and execution of the global strategy for the procurement consultancy practice
Owning client relationships and satisfaction levels
Leading team thinking and efforts to ensure project/program objectives are being achieved
Developing and coaching team members
Contributing to team understanding of client culture
Identifying new business opportunities and supporting the Program Manager/BD in efforts to expand client relationship
Managing multiple projects concurrently and delivering consistent positive results
Developing sourcing strategies & processes in line with clients’ business goals & policies
Interfacing with client to understand their sourcing and procurement requirements
Developing sound recommendations contributing to program objectives (cost savings, SLAs, Transformation, etc.)
Leading sourcing, RFQ events, auctions, supplier management and negotiations
Creatively using data sources to develop fact-based recommendations and complex analyses
Delivering presentations and communicating confidently with the client

Requirements

Must have management consulting experience in a consulting firm OR a combination of consultancy and industry experience
Experience in IT Category
Demonstrated leadership ability and outstanding client management skills
Business problem solving skills with strong analytical and reporting skills
Excellent presentation skills and Business Development potential
Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies such as TQM, Six Sigma, APEX etc., a PLUS
Fluency in German is must
Ability to travel 40% of the time
