Job Details
The Business Development Consultant, reports directly into the Head of Growth and will be supervising New Business Development, and Marketing / PR.
The role is crafted to help the growth of the Malaysia business. The position works in direct partnership with the other Business Units (Creative & Media, Brand Guidance, Brand Strategy, Innovation and Shopper).
Key Outcomes
- Support the Head of Client Growth to land the existing Commercial Perfection strategies to achieve a well-rounded client expansion program - especially unlocking new sectors and new clients
- Chip in to financial performance of the Growth Team, and Kantar Insights MY overall, to achieve revenue and profitability targets
- Drive new business efforts and impactful client engagement, especially in priority growth segments such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Retail and others
- Aligns and ensures successful deployment of proprietary solutions with the business, implementation of Kantar global and regional initiatives
Key Capabilities
- Experienced with, or has a proven understanding of, primary and secondary research techniques and models
- Keen to learn Kantar’s offer and to continue learning as the offer portfolio evolves
- Passionate about understanding clients, their industry and business issues, and can craft a narrative around these to introduce how Kantar can partner with clients to achieve their goals
- Our client base is broad, though curiosity about FMCG, Fintech, Sustainability and automated systems a bonus
- Able to confidently engage with external clients:
- Comfortable contacting non-existing clients to build a fledgling relationship with Kantar
- Able to conduct briefing meetings with external Clients, synthesise their requirements and engage the right people within Kantar to prepare a response
- Able to develop and provide a well-reasoned point of view, and demonstrate understanding of the business needs that Kantar Solutions Areas address
- Able to advise research solutions from the right mix of Kantar’s offers to address clients’ business/marketing issues, with support from the Head of Client Growth and relevant domain experts
- Able to work consultatively and collaboratively with colleagues from all parts of the business
- Able to prepare and structure resources that will help our Client Service teams prepare winning proposals, and support cross-selling throughout the client lifecycle.
