We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong analytical and SQL skills, along with hands-on experience in Web Analytics or E-Commerce Analytics field. As part of the Conferences Business Analytics team at Gartner, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business decisions through data-driven insights and reporting. This role focuses on analyzing marketing initiatives and monitoring key business KPIs to support conference performance across region.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to process, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources (e.g. Google Analytics, BigQuery, Salesforce, Eloqua, Internal databases).
- Define, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to website traffic, paid advertisement, leads, and conversion metrics.
- Identify, monitor, and troubleshoot data collection and tracking issues to ensure data integrity.
- Partner with the Power BI team to develop dashboards and visual reports that communicate insights effectively to business stakeholders.
- Translate complex datasets into actionable business insights and recommendations to improve business outcomes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyse and understand business processes, identify automation opportunities, and define clear and comprehensive requirements.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, preferably BigQuery.
- Hands-on experience with any programming skills (Python, R, Java Script, C++, VBA etc.) is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
- Experience working with large data models and generating actionable insights.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present analytical findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
