The Tri-State Delivery Leadership Team is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong consulting background to join our dynamic team. Successful candidates should demonstrate leadership and flexibility, as well as the ability to build rapport with clients, team members, managers, and senior executives. The person in this role must be able to deftly apply skills and methodology to manage others, proactively mitigate risks, resolve issues, and escalate projects when appropriate.
Slalom consultants work across multiple disciplines and industries, and must be able to understand their clients’ businesses and build credibility quickly. Typical project areas include: leading process or system improvements; custom and packaged system development and implementation; vendor selection; and product definition, development, and launch. Projects vary in length, lasting from a few weeks to several months.
Responsibilities
- Scope management:
- Correctly sizing the project or program and ensuring sufficient time / funds / resources are secured to deliver against what has been agreed
- Subsequent change control: Defending the original scope and ensuring that any agreed changes are properly assessed for their impact on time / cost / quality
- Planning:
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of how to construct a plan and how tasks relate to one another e.g. critical path, dependencies, adding in contingency
- Demonstrate how to manage a plan during the project – updating tasks, identifying slippage, adding in change
- Run team meetings
- Stakeholder Management:
- Comfortable working with Board-level stakeholders and gearing message to the audience
- Methodology: Strong understanding and experience with both Waterfall and Agile projects
Preferred Skills
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years as a Project Manager in a consulting environment
- Personal attributes:
- Strong team builder with a focus on team morale
- Strong communicator: you can communicate your thoughts clearly, concisely and confidently either one-to-one or to a room-full of project stakeholders in a language common to all (translate technical speak to business speak)
- An ability to see the big picture: you maintain focus on the project's goals even when working under pressure
- Command of the details: knowing your project inside out
- Good negotiating skills

Compensation And Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $109,500 to $169,500. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
