About The Role
In FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment we focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial, and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies, and other stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
- Responsible for day-to-day activities of client engagements which includes interacting with top restructuring experts in the industry, legal and finance professionals from other firms, and senior client management. M ay include supervising client personnel and supervising and guiding consultants.
- Apply business, accounting, finance, and diagnostic skills to various client situations and practice disciplines.
- Prepare complex financial projections and worksheets to model business processes and/or actual or hypothetical transactions.
- Develop and/or assess complex business plans, conduct due diligence, and analyze large amounts of data associated with restructuring plans.
- Draft written reports and/or presentations for third parties, as necessary, on the project scope, findings, and/or results of activities.
- Understand all aspects of the client’s business including review of ongoing operations and perform actual vs. budget variance reporting on cash flow results.
- Work with the client’s senior management, legal counsel, and investment bankers for the sale and disposition of the business, non-core operations, real estate, or other assets.

What You Will Need To Succeed
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
- Currently in first year of an Masters in Business Administration or similar Graduate Degree program
- 2+ years in Public Accounting, Consulting, or other Professional Services environment
- This role requires travel to clients and FTI offices
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient use and analysis of computer models and development of dynamic spreadsheet applications.
- Familiarity with Internet-based financial research resources for corporate information, SEC filings, competitive data, etc.
