Overview
As a Senior Consultant, you will manage client engagements, ensure the integrity of strategic and tactical recommendations, and develop detailed business and market strategies. You will often be the primary point of contact for clients, demonstrating expert market knowledge and fostering strong business partnerships. Success is measured by the value you generate through business development and fulfilment on consulting engagements. This role includes revenue and utilization targets and may require travel.
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Manage major strategic consulting engagements from inception to completion, including design, planning, cost management, primary research, and developing client-focused solutions.
- Industry Interaction: Conduct primary research and strategic discussions with industry participants, harnessing your knowledge and network within the industry.
- Presentations: Interpret research data and other project outcomes to prepare succinct reports and presentations for a C-suite audience.
- Business Development: Develop and nurture client relationships, conduct detailed business needs analysis, demonstrate expert industry knowledge, and develop winning consulting proposals.
- Domain Expertise: Serve as an industry expert and trusted advisor for key clients in the telecommunications and IT services space.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, methodical and committed consultant with a passion for information and communications technology.
- Research and Consulting: Proficient in research methodologies and information management. Proven project management skills.
- ICT Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the ICT space, data centre and cloud services, and emerging technologies.
- Client Relationship Management: Skilled in developing and managing client relationships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional presentation abilities.
- Business Development: Capable of developing strong business relationships, creating proposals, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Market Research/Consulting: 6-12 years of experience, ideally within the data centre and cloud service sector. Experience with other services and technologies delivered or employed by telecom operators, is advantageous.
- Education: Engineering degree and/or a business postgraduate qualification (e.g. MBA).
- Language Proficiency: Excellent English written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in an additional European or Asian language is a plus.
