Title: Junior Analyst
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Qualifications: Applicants must be tertiary qualified or currently undergoing their tertiary qualifications. Prior experience in a top tier bank, accounting advisory or private equity firm will be viewed favorably.
Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth research, analysis and present:
- Fundamentals/overview of potential investments
- General industry research to assist in the identification of opportunities
- Risks evaluation and mitigations of potential investments
- Support deal execution including financial analysis, due diligence, documentation and financing
- Support asset management functions including regular asset reporting to key stakeholders
- Support key functions and other ad-hoc of the Melbourne office, including supporting the senior professionals as required
Preferred Attributes:
- Financial modelling including will be viewed favorably
- Transaction experience in evaluating and undertaking due diligence for new investment opportunities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong academic qualifications in math, engineering, finance or accountancy
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Word
- Independent and critical thinker with strong analytical ability
- Exceptional eye for detail
- Positive and driven to perform/excel
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Exceptional presentation, interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to confidently interact with senior management, investors and peers
